My Take on Canvas Art

I saw this really cool painting DIY idea on pinterest and here is my take on it. I will also link the tutorial and where I found the idea. Thanks,Two Girls Being Crafty!

Recycling a sign for next to nothing!

So I had this sign hanging up in my room but I just painted my room and it no longer matched. I wanted to recycle the piece of wood and make is say something else. So with a little paint, glitter, and my Cricut I came up with this.

First I sanded the sign and removed all of the glitter. I then painted the base purple with leftover paint from doing my walls. After That dryed I cut out the word "RELAX" Using the "Don Juan" Cricut Cartridge. I taped the letters lightly to the board using re-positional glue dots. I then spray panted over the enter board, letters, sides, the whole works. Right after I did that I got a brilliant idea: Add some sparkle! I used Martha Stewart brand glitter-but any fine glitter will do the job. I sprinkled it all over and let it all dry. I then peeled off the letters after everything was dry and *POOF* a brand new wall sign! (I added a ribbon across the bottom to add an extra touch.) I am going to touch up the letters with the dark purple paint soon and it will be complete!

Baby Shower gift idea

As many of you know, CVS had a great cash card deal for Pampers diapers and wipes. They also had the CVS baby products included in on the cash card deal. I did this deal in order to score two packs of diapers, two packs of wipes as well as two CVS brand baby shampoo/soaps. I spent 4 Dollars OOP and it makes a great gift! I also threw in a box of Huggies wipes (50 cents) a few weeks ago at Walgreens as well as Baby Magic Baby Powder, which is free the month of March with a mail-in-rebate in the March Savings booklet.

I payed about $4.50 for the contents in here and there are some wonderful, quality products. The basket was purchased at Michaels 40% off at $17.99.

For just over 20 bucks total you have a lovely baby shower or baby arrival gift.

Cricut Card

Here is a super sweet card I made for a baby shower. I used my Cricut Expression with the "New Arrivals" cartridge. This baby outfit is 2 cute!

The "Lanterns" Which look more like canisters or tins to me come with a handle on them. You will need to use a pliers to remove the handles.

I did mine Three on bottom, two in middle, and one on top. But if you wanted more you could add more.

I simply glued the touching lanterns together, making a pyramid shape and There ya have it-A beautiful, functional, and cheap storage solution.

Looking for some free jellybeans? Walgreens has Lifesaver Jelly Beans 2 for $1.00, regularly priced. They also have in the MARCH coupon booklet a $1.00/2 coupon that you can use to make them free. Here is a picture of the jelly beans as well as the coupon you will use:

The cashier only has to scan the coupon ONCE and it will take off the coupon value for each product purchased. There is also no limit to these, even though it says "one coupon per customer."

Good luck!

Here is the breakdown:

Free Colgate at Wags and Rolling RRs!

Breakdown:
Colgate Toothpaste 4oz = $3.00
Get back a $3.00 RR
=Free

*The big part about this deal is that it is rolling.
Normally at Walgreens you can not use a RR from a product and use it on the same product and still get a RR back. As of right now, you can with this Colgate deal. I believe it is a glitch in the system and I am not sure how long it is going to last. I bought 21 tubes last night.

Remember to only get ONE toothpaste per transaction-because you will only get one RR back for the same product in one transaction.

Good luck rolling!
